Our Background

Big Time Academy Group

Big Time started life in Canterbury in 2015 offering musical theatre classes, delivered by Conservatoire-trained professionals. In 2017 Big Time relocated to the London borough of Barnet working alongside the international franchise Petite Performers, to offer high-end performing arts classes in the borough. It quickly established itself as one of the premiere performing arts schools in the community and expanded its offering.

Big Time, based out of Mill Hill library, converted an unused storage space into a purpose built dance studio and nursery.  Big Time supports NW7Hub charity and works in partnership with the charity to support their charitable goals and the sustainability of the food and goods bank as well as community library.

In 2018 Big Time launched a series of immersive family experiences and shows that were an instant success. These sold out events established Big Time as the leading production and creative company in the area and saw them being commissioned by the Barnet Library services to deliver ‘The Year of Learning’ program of educational events across Barnet libraries in 2019, funded by the Arts Council.

Big Time produced the first ever professional pantomime in Mill hill in 2018 with huge success, starring James Phelps from the Harry Potter film franchise, and were the official entertainment for Saracens Rugby annual fireworks event at Allianz Park. They were honoured to be asked to light the Christmas tree in Mill Hill Broadway in 2018. They are working with ‘Together Barnet’ the Multi Faith forum and Barnet Council to consult and deliver an annual winter festival celebrating the borough’s rich cultural diversity. Big Time has, in a few short years, become leaders in providing top quality arts and culture as well as educational training for Barnet.

Big Time are proud to be part of the Young Barnet Foundation family and work closely with a number of local and national charities and schools. Big Time Group emerged from the pandemic stronger than ever with a fantastic local reputation, national clients and ambition to grow and revolutionise the early years sector.
